The project emerged from an interest in bringing together references from classical painting with a more precise, restrained, and contemporary visual construction. The intention was not to reproduce Baroque aesthetics literally, but to draw from their dramatic weight, their relationship with shadow, and their ability to turn an image into something almost psychological. The result is a piece that seeks to create a refined and contained sense of unease, where the pictorial, the sculptural, and the cinematic coexist within a single frame to produce an image with strong presence and an open interpretation.
